I see the world in shots, scenes, and soundtracks. Always have.
I started directing as a kid. My sister was the star (and only) actress. My mother loved my films, but let's be honest, she didn't have much choice. In school, I'd talk my professors into letting me turn written assignments into films. It didn't always work, but it worked often enough.
Polish National Film School alumni with a Master's in Cinematography. Trained on 35mm film, which gave me a foundation in craft and attention to detail that still runs through everything I do. After graduating, I moved to Stockholm and started directing commercials, narrative work, and music videos.
Growing up with two older brothers and a steady rotation of pirated VHS tapes meant I was watching everything from the dumbest comedies to the darkest thrillers before I probably should have been. I blame them for my slightly unhinged imagination. As a classically trained pianist, I also think naturally in rhythm and pacing. Every edit has a musicality to it.
I take a human-first approach to filmmaking. AI is a powerful tool, but it doesn't replace instinct, taste, or lived experience. I use it to develop ideas and move faster, but the storytelling is always mine.
I have no interest in staying in one lane. Whether a project is intimate or ambitious, the goal is the same: make something that stays with people. If I had to describe my sensibility, it's somewhere between Chevy Chase and David Fincher, with a little Ingmar Bergman mixed in.
